I'm still fine with progressive LC.

Just in case anyone draws the same conclusion as Chuck, I did not come to this opinion of the LC based on the experiences of one tournament. On the contrary, it is because at every LC I go to, I see people forfeiting, and because many of the scheduling issues with players deep in the main or conso are prioritized by how they will affect the Sunday 10AM last chance. Every time I have to wake up at 9AM on Sunday to start playing in an hour after losing in the main the night before I die a little bit inside.
I used San Antonio as an example primarily for 3 reasons:
- It is a recent, specific example of where major delays were caused primarily by the LC, the smallest of the main events
- It is a progressive LC. Noting that a progressive LC doesn't necessarily solve scheduling problems.
- It is a premier event that actually does have something else interesting going on on Sunday, the Super Bowl party, as more events should. But due to LC considerations (non-money round) I couldn't both attend that and play a finals match.
