There is no question that when you don't double when it is a double, and when you double when it isn't, you are pissing away equity. But it's a matter of degree, in my humble opinion (I do not mean that sarcastically).

If it's close in a no-brainer decision, I believe I should be more inclined to cube a better player and more inclined to take a better player; and if it's close in a complicated situation, I believe I should be less inclined to double and less inclined to take.

Unlike my usual money games and chouettes, I am not at all thinking about playing to my opponent's weakness or tells or proclivities, as I believe I am going to be more accurate to assume that Mochy will make decisions that are pretty much in line with XG. Even if he does try to "play me" or intimidate or decide not to risk bigger cubes, or whatever, I know that I am better off assuming he will make the correct technical decisions, so to the best of my ability, I will try to estimate what that is and play accordingly.

I think we are on the same page so long as you hear me say I do not plan to "intentionally" vary greatly from the technically-correct decision. I promise you, when you see me make a blunder, it will not be intentional. Either the sun was in my eyes or I just blew it.
