Why we should publicize our illegal moves

By making the baffle box mandatory in the final I know you're maybe doing some good things but there are also some drawbacks in my opinion. Again, I've never been pro baffle box (or dice tube, but I'm anti dice tube) but I'm not against it either. If someone wants to use the baffle box with me, depending on the circumstances, I might say yes, I might say no.
The first drawback, esp. for a finals match which will be watched by many players who wander back and forth watching the match and talking to other players is that the dice are on one side of the board and when I walk up I never know whose turn it is! This same idea spills over into having the match transcribed. I do not like transcribing matches from a tournament where the players used a baffle box because between switching windows for whatever reasons, I lose track of who is on roll and then I have to stop, go back, and see who actually rolled instead of simply knowing by what side of the board the dice are on.
Something that may matter to some players who are not accustomed to playing with a baffle box, not myself but I can see the point, is that they played an entire tournament without one why is one needed now? Why is it needed? If you can't make an overwhelming case for it it's a nuisance, a distraction to one or possibly both of the players. It's a nuisance also because you likely already have a clock on one side of the board, now you'll have a baffle box on the other, and then there's the camera set up and potentially a computer beside where you're playing. I find so much equipment intrusive and would rather play without something I personally find superfluous unless there was adequate reasons for it to be in use.
