In Response To: Why we should publicize our illegal moves (Jason Lee)

Jason: no reason you can't play with a clock using either the tube or the baffle box.

As for Koca saying a player might knock over the tube, I am sure that is a possibility, but if that happens more than once I would call the director and I am sure he would be more careful or penalized for such a ploy by any good diretor.

As for traveling with the box, my new box is very small, folds, and weighs very little and fits in the board. It is $45.00.

Someone mentioned the extra time of shaking the dice in the cup and then having them go through the box...it takes less than a second to go through the box, so no big deal, and I really think a cup is unnecessary. Yes, I know, someone years ago in LA showed you can set the dice and affect the roll if you don't use a cup. But certainly you can tell when someone is "setting the dice and gently placing them on the baffle," and also, my boxes have more bounce and tumble. I have tried setting the dice with no noticeable results. (No, I did not do it 7 Million times to make sure.) But I usually don't use a cup unless my opponent insists and there is no problem and it is very quick to roll this way.

The new boxes are plexiglas so they don't even block the view of the board, which is also nice...a major improvement over heavy wooded boxes.

Noise? They are quieter than the sound of shaking the dice in the cup, by far.

In case there is still anyone out there that hasn't see the demo video:
