14/8 for me... still.

I want the extra hit / cover numbers. Making the 14pt is tantamount to saying "I give, I'll take what I can get, but I want to be safe at the same time". Playing in to the 8pt is more like saying "I'm taking what I want, you will fear leaving any blots, and you're better off just capitulating. I'll take 6pts, KTHXBYE"

I get the reason to play it safe, but I prefer chasing a close out.
