In Response To: newbee match equity question (Timothy Chow)

Timothy Chow said,

"By "gammon wins," do you mean undoubled gammon wins? And by this, do you mean how many undoubled gammon wins would result if the rest of the game were to be played out by idealized bots? Also, by "losses" do you include games in which the opponent doubles and the 2-away player drops?"

I'll need to take some time to try to understand those distinctions, and their effect on match equity decisions. My questions were focussed on cubeful decisions.

BTW, if you ever decide to write a book, or comprehensive article on match equity, cube decisions, etc., seriously, I'll be first in line to buy it. Thank you for your help.
