The "normal" 14/8(2) forces us to leave a direct shot after a roll of 66 and an indirect shot after a roll of 65.

14/5 8/5 doesn't leave any direct shots but forces indirects with 53 52 51 62 61, plus a number of small rolls that either play awkwardly or leave an indirect.

Seems like the normal play is the way to go.
