What if neither player enjoys using a clock, and the match is not lagging behind? As long as the staff are keeping an eye on the progress of matches, why should any two players have to use a clock when they are known to not be slow players, and they profess to not enjoy using a clock (perhaps despite trying them a number of times)?

I should add here that I am probably a slower than average player and, for that reason, do prefer clocks.
