A friend of mine had a similar problem with GridGammon, and it turned out that if you have previously installed it, it (GG or the OS, not sure which) can get confused as to where the correct Save path is, even if what you told it would normally be correct. The remedy was to Un-Install all components of any installation, and start from scratch. That worked with GG, so well worth a try with SHG.
