PR difference affecting the gameplay

I'd like to study how much the difference in PR's of opponents is affecting the gameplay.

Is there any collected empiric data on how big the impact of difference in PR on the match/game winning chances is?

Of course there is a theoretical route, i.e. expressing PR in MWC or GWC (Match or Game Winning Chances), and confronting it with luck factor. But I'm not sure this "simulated" numbers are the same as numbers for humans (or at least human vs. machine).

Any shared data would be appreciated.
