Solution to the spouse problem in backgammon

(Sorry, Phil, I'm sure this isn't the solution you were looking for.)

How many times have you heard spouses say they hate playing in the same event+division as the significant other? It appears (although Yazawa could mean 'Jones' in Japanese, for all I know) that Akiko and her husband solved that problem quite nicely, if 10 Mm (megameters) apart!
