You are correct as far as comparing the 3 pt anchor to either the 4 or 5 pt. That is pretty much a given.

What surprised me in looking at anchor positions is the equity difference between an anchor on either the 1 or 2 pt and an anchor on the 3. In my mind I tended to associate a 3 pt anchor with the these two lower pt anchors, when in fact there is a substantial difference.

Yes, a 3 pt anchor is not as good as a higher pt, but it is better than - at least I - would have thought.
