Suggestion for TD's

In an ideal world each table would have enough space between boards to accommodate a camera being set up - if draws were made 10 minutes before the official start of play that would give time to set up a camera. That's another thing about chess, round times, nearly always there is an official start for each round. I think we kind of have that but somehow every tournament I play I have to wait because my opponent is in doubles or some other side event, so it gets blurry and it can be annoying to wait an hour to play in what should be the main event - I guess it's all been tried in the past and it is what it is but backgammon with the USBGF is starting to become more serious. I would like for excitement to see say the last 16 or last 8 to start at the same time, on boards 1-8 or 1-4 - and if someone wins a quick match and so does his opponent they should wait till the time for the next round rather than play immediately and leave the room.
