We can hit loose, hit and lift, or play safe.

If we hit loose, we don't have a good way to play the 2. Lifting buries a checker. 9/4 8/6 seems very passive - the race lead inclines me toward it, but the anchor and better board make me want to play boldly and hit.

I'll opt for the safe move - we may still win the race or they may roll awkwardly (51 53 55). at least the safe play doesn't bury checkers out of play.
