Larsen/Silliman U.S. Backgammon Ranking

The latest "Larsen/Silliman" ranking of U.S. players can be seen here: http://kenlarsennc.com/bgUSrating.htm The bottom of it has links to the seven previous rankings.

We've called it the “Larsen/Silliman U.S. Backgammon Ranking” to distinguish it from other rankings that people may create. “Silliman” refers to Barry Silliman who wrote software to read USBGF loaded draw sheets that have been collected since 2009.

The ranking treats the current year as the most recent 12 month period (not calendar year). As we progress through 2015, new tournaments from 2015 will be added, and old ones from 2010 will be dropped. The current ranking includes the Herndon tournament but not the Tampa tournament.

Hopefully this posting will motivate people to either endorse it or derive something else ... culminating someday in a universally adopted world ranking system.
