For many years playing Herb in a singles match was like playing doubles without a clock. One Tuesday at the Barpoint I took a redouble in our 7-point match, redoubled to 8, and won. He asked: "How could you take that cube!?" I told him it was because I had a flight to Bangkok on Friday, and I was afraid I was going to miss it. (The cube was actually an easy take.)
