USBGF Video Lessons/and other resources you should consider

Thank you for acknowledging my work. There are about 225 Videos of 10 to 30 minutes on just about every aspect of the game, and that represents many more hours of study and preparation to make sure the videos contain accurate information and good examples. Even those videos where Stick, John O'Hagan, MCG, Perry Gartner, Steve Sax and others who appear did not appear, they often helped provide many of the examples and concepts.

Many don't know that you can also access terrific short, specific lessons and flash cards to test yourself from many of the above-mentioned experts and also Mary Hickey, Robertie, Falafel, and others on the web site:

www.mindgamescenter.com

Yes, I am one of the owners and creators of this site. I am also one of the owners and creators of BGOpeningCeremony.com which is a terrific tool to help players compare opening and second roll moves at 4 score types, and third roll moves for money.

Another resource I ofen use is Tom Keith's site, BKGM.COM which has terrific articles that you can access by author or type.

I am working on several new and improved tools (and some radically different tools) that will be available through Thebackgammonlearningcenter.com, BGOpeningCeremony, or USBGF in the future, or in completely new formats that will be announced in coming months that will also be, I believe, of great educational value to serious backgammon players.

I am also working on some special tools and products designed just for beginners to make it easier for them to understand the game more easily and hopefully show them, very early on, how much fun this game is so they will have a greater passion to stick with it.

I would be remiss if I do not mention XG as a critical tool for anyone who wants to advance their game.

Xavier continues to work on improvements for future versions of XG and I am proud to be of help there in an advisory capacity, and I know that the next version of XG will be even more useful to all of us in several ways (that I am not at liberty to announce at this time.) I hope we all appreciate what he has done to take this game to a higher level while being most reasonable in the pricing of his computer program and apps.
