Years ago, one of the players in our chouette wrote a computer program that would implement all the rules and track everyone's bankroll. Writing a computer program forces you to be explicit about all the cases that could come up, so we rarely have any disagreements. Of course, it's still possible to forget to enter all the actions in real time, or to make errors when doing so, and the program might have bugs. Still, the computer program helps a lot.
