Do we escape, hit, or safety our blot on the 8pt?

If we use this roll to escape, the PFs have 13 shots that hit on the 8 pt, plus 4 more shots that hit our escaped checker. If we get gammoned, our equity loss is about 10 or 11% worse than if we lose a single game.

I think our best chances are to hit, and safety the blot on our 3 pt. This duplicates 3's and 5's for the PF's with 35 and 55 being the only hitting numbers, with 55 almost certainly costing us a gammon .
