I'm not sure exactly what your question is, but if it's about whether the XG display conventions should be changed, I think the answer is no. The equities are for the player on roll, not for the opponent. That's why there's a plus sign rather than a minus sign in front of the 0.235. The player on roll gains +0.235 if he doubles and gets an incorrect pass, compared to if he "correctly" holds the cube.
