The UKBGF exists to promote and grow the game of backgammon across the UK and more widely.
The only way to grow the game for the benefit of both new and existing players is with the help of subscription income from as many members as possible. A list of our objectives for the next two years can be found here:

With your help we will build a diverse community catering for all backgammon players.
There are several membership packages and we urge you to join at the highest level which you can afford. Junior members (under 21 at the date of joining) will pay half the normal price for Basic or Premium membership. For Junior and Founder members, please email contact@ukbgf.com for more information rather than using the online form to join.
UKBGF funds are held in a Community Account at HSBC in the name of the UKBGF, with the UKBGF Chair and Treasurer as signatories. Membership numbers will be allocated in order of receipt of applications, with the exception of those numbers that have been sold by auction.
Memberships other than Founder or 3-Year Premium last for one year from the date of joining and, unless the recurring payment is subsequently cancelled, it will be automatically repeated on the anniversary of joining.
UKBGF Basic Membership
Cost: £25 per annum. Benefits include:
The right to vote and stand as a candidate in future UKBGF Board (or other) elections
Reduced registration fees at tournaments organised by the UKBGF
Matches played in UKBGF affiliated clubs and UKBGF recognised events to be included in the National Ratings Table
Limited access to non-public areas of the UKBGF website
UKBGF Premium Membership
Cost: £40 p.a. or £100 for three years. Premium members will receive the following benefits in addition to those enjoyed by Basic members:
Unlimited access to all material on the UKBGF website. In addition to tournament blogs and round-ups, this will soon include annotated and analysed matches between top players from the UK and abroad, articles on backgammon theory and much more.
Eligibility to win added prizes including backgammon boards and sponsorship money (if applicable) at UKBGF events
All matches played in UKBGF affiliated clubs and recognised events will be included not only in the National Ratings Table but also in the more sophisticated Grading System (which takes into account the relative strengths of the players)
A free UKBGF T-Shirt and UKBGF Member’s Doubling Cube for all Premium Members who sign up by 30th June 2015
A discount of 20% on eXtremeGammon analysis sofware (first activation only) UKBGF Founder Member
This special membership category is only available for a limited period at a cost of £1000. It offers, in addition to all the benefits listed above:
