Can you articulate how players who don't watch streaming or don't look at recorded matches would benefit?

If that is true, then the value to people who WATCH the streams is obviously close to zero.

Fortunately we have a recent test case, the Phil-Mochi exhibition match. I don't know how much they raised, but I'm hopeful it's not close to zero.

The bottom line is when you cross the line from voluntary to forced payment, then you need to be sure the people who are "taxed" for a nonessential service benefit from it. If you enjoy watching the streams, pay a buck or two!
