Blue would like to make the 1pt with his 3. If he wants to play safe, that would mean moving 7/5 with the 2.

The problem with that is that Blue is out of time. Playing an ace on the following turn could be awkward, especially if White improves his board between now and then. The best plan is probably to break the midpoint now, playing 13/11 4/1. Given the state of White’s board, he will not want to hit with most of his aces. And unless Blue rolls 11 on his next turn, he will be able to bring down the other checker at that time.

As a bonus, White will cough up direct shots at two blots if rolls 61.
