Covering from the 8pt leaves spares on both the 6pt and 8pt. That must be better than covering from the 6pt. For the 2, I like advancing a back checker to the 21pt. On the 21pt, we can see daylight, so that's a good place to either anchor or escape from. There is no need to play the 2 down from the midpoint. That would strip the midpoint, and since we are usually not going to break that point, we don't gain a new builder by moving to the 11pt.

C (Cross) = 23/21, 8/4

Nactation: In the Cross family, one checker is moved on the far side of the board, while the other is played jumping over the bar to a destination in the inner board. There are two such plays possible in this position. Under the Hit-More-6 Rule, the one that results in more owned points ranks first in the family, and is assigned the capital letter.
