I seem to botch 66 plays a lot so I don't expect to get this one right.

We'll have a ~20 pip lead after this play, so breaking contact is thematic if only we could do it. Lifting the blot on the fourteen seems mandatory, after which making the deuce point seems natural. That leaves a final six, and the question is whether to play it as 14/18 or 13/7.

24/18 leaves a whole bunch of shots and the PF's will hit loose. I count 26 hitting numbers. The thing is, if we sit on the ace we run the risk of getting stuck and I think the ten hon-hitting numbers are enough to take the chance. 13/7 doesn't accomplish much, other than stripping the midpoint.

Often with situations like this I miss even seeing the best play, but even after looking closely I'm not seeing alternatives to making the deuce.

24/18 14/2 8/2
