Always the Egg? -OT

So I was cogitating this fine weekend and it occurred to me that humans are the only animals that have to wipe our butts. Post excreto as the Romans might say. Now fortunately the good Lord saw fit to provide us with opposable thumbs so that we could grasp toilet paper. Unfortunately this also allowed us to make tools which ultimately led to nuclear weapons and TV, which ultimately led to Keeping Up With the Kardashians. I leave it to each individual reader to decide which is the greater evil.

So my question to you, eggheads, is which came first? The thumb or the ass?
