My sentiments exactly. Who is ever actually going to pass here? It doesn't matter what is "theoretically correct", you are going to lose a lot of money by doubling here because the chance of the opponent passing is miniscule.

It is like when people bluff at a calling station in poker. A bluff at a player who is virtually never going to fold will have negative equity.
