As there is no explanation to produce a learning curve in the first example I will pass an opinion. Reds position is a winning position but not strong enough to double but add in the gammon threat "bingo". A point often overlooked when considering a cube. The threat to blue is high on account of the hit threat. Counting roll odds lets assume 18 (my count) that is 50%. If hit the re-entry chance is 57% and maybe an anchor. There are some nasty jokers but enough left for blue to take bearing in mind that reds runners are not away.. This is not a good example to use to get your head around the cube its border line. In match play subject to match score it could be any variation of the cube. Its stopped raining the garden is calling.
