AMC's Halt and Catch Fire / Backgammon

Tonight, season 2 of Halt and Catch Fire premiered. The show follows a group of young hackers in the early 80s trying to make it big (The show is fictional but loosely based on real life events) Of particular interest was that Backgammon featured in the first few minutes of the show. Backgammon kept crashing their new operating system and the game required a monstrous amount of storage (half a meg). They were using tech similar to what was around in 1985.

This is the second time that Backgammon has made an appearance on an AMC show (that I have seen). The previous one was on The Walking Dead.
