After 7/4 5/3 compared to 23/20 5/3, you do not get an immediate shot on 62, 52, 42, 32, but you have a chance at a double shot and/or shots at two blots next, almost as good. You do not leave the 22 joker and 21 becomes less of a good roll for your opponent.
