..and one more thing.. (Backgammon Studio)

Hi!

There has been a few days since I have posted an update here. You'd think I was on vacation! :-)

Actually a few things has happened since last time:

I have cleaned up the UI a bit: https://flic.kr/p/uygUHf

I have finally gotten the hang of proper resizing of UI with tables with dynamic content so if you change the window size when showing the list of matches it should resize properly: https://flic.kr/p/up8z5c

I have added some more action tags: https://flic.kr/p/up8z7X but Tore keeps asking me for more! Demanding bugger! :-)

I have rearranged the filter view a bit so there is room for more entries: https://flic.kr/p/u7tVRH I have added 'match any double' in order to match any position where a double is played. There are some types of positions where doubles are difficult to play so if you want to quiz yourself on your skills in this area you can now easily find positions that match this criteria.

There is also a new entry 'all wrong answers match error criteria' in order to find positions where there aren't any borderline answers. Normally the error threshold matches the error done in the actual match.

I have changed the challenge select ui so that it is easier to get an overview of which challenges you have played and which you still have left to try: https://flic.kr/p/u7m6UL

There are more buttons that can be configured: https://flic.kr/p/u7tVPZ

The board now resizes when you resize the window. At least if you have set the Board size setting to 'Auto' (Should be the default value). I threw in a few more sizes (60%,80%,90%) but the board doesn't seamlessly scale which I will try to figure out how to do one day. Honest! :-)

I have added 'too close to call' for cube action within 0.015 of the correct answer.

I have added an equity challenge as I mentioned as a possibility earlier. Pick a challenge and your total equity loss determines your highscore position.

I have improved the 'merge duplicate players' so that it resizes with the window size. You probably don't see this view too often though as I mainly need it in order to clean up the player names after I have added a lot of new matches to the database. https://flic.kr/p/tDKwk8

The reason I need to clean this up is that in the match selection you can select matches from a specific player in the player dropdown: https://flic.kr/p/uj1M3d. If there are many different names for the same player this will work rather poorly.

From the picture you can also see a match played by 'Bosnia'. I have no clue who that could be so using actual names of your opponent (preferably full name or an established alias) would be awesome!

The daily surprise has gotten the match score added to the header as it is sometimes important to know: https://flic.kr/p/uj9sCF

I have also added the latest match comment to the start page. This is updated whenever a match has been uploaded which contains match comments. I think those matches can be extra interesting to play through as verbal comments can be more insightful than the hard stats from XG.

I have retired the 'private database' to the commercial server as it requires a bit of work to maintain it. Also if you want to know what Mochys most common error is this is now only found on the commercial server.

On the bright side there are now a few paying customers on the commercial server which came as a bit of a surprise as there are so many more cool things I would like to add to this server before I am satisfied with it! :-)

In other news: I just installed gridgammon again after having it uninstalled for over a year as I was rather worried about running very old windows software (especially anything that has network support) for security reasons. But I broke down and installed it again. If you come across PureLuck there be gentle with him! He tries to play well but he lacks some training! :-)
