Reliable in what sense or to achieve what ends?

The takepoint is deeper and the price of gammon is about the same as for a "normal" score. Maybe you need ten instead of nine market losers, but I'm only seeing about six.

So, yeah, I think it's as reliable here as any other broad rule of thumb. "Nine" doesn't always give the right answer at normal scores, so one shouldn't take O'Hagen's law as gospel.

My thought process is that I'm fairly sure it's a take (although I could be wrong about that) so I think about how likely I'll still have a take next roll. It seems I will most of the time, so I hold.
