Thanks, John. Let me verify that I understand what you're saying. Even if you weren't on the taking end, you'd take time to carefully calculate whether it was a take? And if you were on the doubling end, you would spend the majority of your time calculating whether it's a take, rather than (say) estimating market-losing sequences? As I think I said elsewhere, I understand that counting market-losing sequences isn't necessarily a worthwhile computation for score-based cubes, but I'm a little surprised by this allocation of thinking time. Although I would first try to assess the take, and would spend some time on it, I wouldn't spend as much effort as if I were on the taking end.
