How about treating every one in the event the same?

Why not? Because it's not working. We are losing a huge percentage of low open players and that hurts the giants, the tournaments, and the game. A few small tweaks could fix the problem or at least help a lot.

I know people hate change. But virtually every sport and game has had to change with the times to survive and improve.
