Perhaps we differ on the terminology, but I think we agree on the concept.

I consider cube efficiency as the likelihood that the game will be played on X2 cube (8 in this case). For example, when you have an automatic recube it is 100% efficient. In this case, the fact that you can send an immediate 8 cube depending on the roll shows high cube efficiency, possibly even higher than I guessed.

That's another reason for me not to cube to 4 in the first place. cubing to 4 complicates the checker play as you need to think of the 8 cube outcome for every scenario.
