Just a quick recap to straighten out what has actually been going on. This thread has had more confusing information than most. Friday was the day they combined the different divisions and at the start of Friday there were 1,796 players still left. (tourney started with 6,420) The top 1,000 make the money and at that point there were about 200 players with only 20 big blinds or less so the bubble was as far away as it might seem.

Rick was #100 in chips going into the day. (listed as Richard Barabino) At the end of day 3, Friday, there were only 661 players left so everyone ITM at this point. Minimum cash is $15k. Generally the WSOP pays out 10% of the entrants so it would be much less than 1,000 ppl based on the number of entrants. This year they decided to pay out 1,000 players regardless of the number of entrants to make sure more people got something back. The top 9 places are still guaranteed at least a million so it doesn't seem to cut too deeply into the higher payouts pockets.

To me it looks like going into day 4 Rick was #92 in chips with 662 players left. Right now we're down to 349 players and Rick is still in it. Busting out right now would be worth about $30k.
