I don't think that breaking anchor is the thing to do. I have been saving a few positions that I call "Running Like Hell For The Midpoint" (spoiler: it's usually wrong. So far anyway). Breaking the 7-point is a possibility but it hurts our flexibility and I'd prefer to not lose that nice soft landing spot for our checkers on the midpoint, so time to use that nice soft landing spot.
