I should clarify the quick definition I gave by saying that it was a measure of "relative" efficiency with respect to a given match score (Ats). Neil's examples (putting aside the fact that they were ULG positions) show the "absolute" equity gain from cubing, which of course is not score-specific as such. So the relative efficiency, expressed as a percentage, could be given as =(Absolute Equity Gain)/(Maximum Possible Equity Gain Ats). Both metrics (relative and absolute) have their uses, although in practice, Neil's metric of absolute equity gain is the number one is most likely to be interested in.
