Why is there no Online Backgammon

In Response To: Why is there no Online Backgammon (Fender)

From the U.S.?

The reason is that the government shutdown easy methods to move money into the online sites (credit cards, PayPal) and prosecuted owners of the foreign sites if they stepped foot on American soil.
