This looks like more of a double than a redouble. Is it a redouble here? I’m not sure.

The Dillies have 12 cracking numbers. That’s any non-escaping roll with a 3 or 4. Many (all?) of them are market losers. In addition, when the Dillies run off their anchor, they may find that they are exposed both in the outfield and in their rear court, so there may be some market losers there as well.

Against that, we are down by 34 pips right now. A better than average roll might be one that lets us weigh anchor, and jump both checkers into the outfield. That could leave 1, 2, or 3 fly shots for the Dillies to target.

Another common variation is one where we must play down from the midpoint. That would leave the outfield up for grabs, and the Dillies would have the first chance to put a stake there.

I guess I will wait.

Roll

Mike
