Camera app - position recognition

OpenCV has been considered by others as well in this thread. Probably a reasonable starting place. Lighting and different angles can make things a bit more difficult and the dice/doubling can sometimes be difficult to make out with smaller dice. Keeping track of a game/match state can probably help fill in gaps if the dice are sometimes unreadable. Stacked checkers could pose a bit of a problem too.
