Just to be clear, Blue is supposed to play 33 from the diagrammed position?

White has 7 checkers off so Blue is only a slight favorite, and has to bear off moderately aggressively. Something like 6/off 6/3(2) is just too slow.

The two options I see are to keep a closed board and to bear off three checkers. Keeping a closed board is usually not far from best even if it's not actually best, but here the wastage of the closed-board play is about as bad as possible. I would bear three.
