Larsen/Silliman U.S. Backgammon Ranking (2 versions)

Barry Silliman and I now have two versions of a ranking system that rates people who have played in U.S. tournaments. We have one that is based on ABT (American Backgammon Tour) points: http://kenlarsennc.com/bgUSrating.htm

We also have one that is based on "USBGF Rank Points": http://kenlarsennc.com/bgUSratingUSBGF.htm

USBGF Rank Points assigns points to a broader range of people in each Open, Intermediate, Novice tournament. ABT points are typically assigned to just the top 10 to 20% of the field. It's much tougher to get them. That can distort the ranking system, because a single win of a major tournament can catapult a person to high up on the ranking. Barry and I prefer the USBGF points system.
