I like simple heuristics. I will give it a shot and see what new problems show up.

I am still throwing almost a full couple of PR points away trivially racing when I should be holding and holding when I should be racing.

Once I've convinced myself to stop that habit I probably have to start attending to the my cube and match score play to see any kind of real improvement beyond an average PR of 5-6's. Fixing checker play, while a struggle from a bad habits perspective, seems to take a lot less rigour than some of the racing cubes and counting market losers required to keep from sending the cube over one roll late.
