First Iranian Backgammon Masters Series Tournament

PR RESULTS AND GRADINGS REPORT: BMS (IR) Ranking Tournament #1, Tehran, Iran, May 2015
This tournament was very successfully promoted and directed by Amir Eshraghi, the BMS (IR) Director who also participated in the tournament. The transcribed match-files have now been analysed with detailed results shown in the attached document.
Roohollah Amiri Andy was the clear tournament winner and best performed, winning 5 matches from six, and achieving the lowest PR of 4.14. He obtains the title of Master (Class 2) with provisional Master (Class 1) as does Amir Eshraghi, with a PR of 4.39.
Mohammad Reza Amini, with a PR of 5.08, obtains the title of Master (Class 3) with provisional Master (Class 2). Jalil Khalili, with a PR of 5.72 obtains the proficiency level of Advanced (Class 1) with provisional grading of Master (Class 3).
These grading are life-long but may be improved with sustained high performance. Congratulations to all participants. It will be very interesting to see the results of the second BMS(IR) Ranking Tournament, recently completed.
