Do you know how many games/matches you'd have to play to have a meaningful outcome if the difference in PR is .3 or less? Basically the same level still applies.

I'm not suggesting that live practice isn't necessary to play one's best when the time comes in a live tourney. I'm saying doing it often is, to me, a big waste. I wondered if anyone else felt the same. I know I can count pips live. I know getting tired is not an issue for me personally. (esp compared to the field) I couldn't care less about a short time control. Again, the day I time out is the day I stab myself. These reasons may apply to some players but I don't feel they apply to many at the uppermost level.
