Blue looks better situated to win a race than a priming battle. Filling in the 5pt is nice, but it's a long term kind of nice. Hitting White gains immediately in the race and slows White's offensive development. Meanwhile, leaving a blot on the 11pt gives White a chance to narrow the race and bring reinforcements into his outfield. I may be underestimating the long term risks of trying to come home with a potentially unmade 5pt, but the immediate gains of hitting/not being hit look more important to my game plan. 11/10*/4
