I have been playing so much DMP that I hardly flinch at a play like 13/4* here. It's just going to be so hard to win this thing without attacking that blot. But a gammon here is particularly costly, so I have to take a closer look. And having taken a closer look, I still want to win, so I still like attacking that blot. And having committed to winning rather than saving the gammon, I don't see playing 6/1 with the 5. Perhaps it's too reckless, but I'd play 13/4*.
