ruling on premature cubing - another wrinkle

Now, let's say that the player rolled, cocked his dice, then tried to cube. He realized on his own that he can't cube because he rolled, puts the cube back, takes his turn. You take your turn. Gets back to him, he rolls! Now you could theoretically force him to double and choose whether the roll on the board stands or gets rerolled.
