RESULTS AND GRADINGS REPORT: BMS (IR) Ranking Tournament #2, Tehran, Iran, August 2015

Like the first BMS (IR) tournament held in May this tournament was very successfully promoted and directed by Amir Eshraghi, the BMS (IR) Director who also participated in the tournament, despite the additional burden of being technical and tournament director for a larger field of 11 players. The transcribed match-files have now been analysed with results summarised below.

Tournament PR Results:

Masoud Aghdam 8.72

Roohollah Amiri Andy 6.05

Amir Eshraghi 4.05

Jalil Khalili 6.82

Saeed Mousavi 7.38

Houshidar Ildari 6.72

Kamyar Karimi 4.25

Mohammadreza Moeinfar 7.75

Amir Mojtabavi 9.24

Salar Rassoolzadeh 7.36

Hamidreza Shahrokhi 13.34

Congratulations to Amir and Kamyar for achieving playing levels close to Grandmaster standard.

The following four players played at the first tournament thus achieving 132 experience points. Their overall average PRs are summarized as follows:

00174 Masoud Aghdam 10.21

00176 Roohollah Amiri Andy 5.12

00177 Amir Eshraghi 4.22

00178 Jalil Khalili 6.18

Amir and Jalil both achieve upgraded titles, of Master (Class 1) and Master (Class 3) respectively. Masoud and Roohollah maintain the titles and proficiency levels obtained at the first BMS (IR) tournament.

The players new to BMS (IR), where this was their first tournament, achieved the following titles and proficiency levels:

187 Saeed Mousavi A1E

188 Houshidar Ildari A1E

189 Kamyar Karimi M2 (M1 provisional)

190 Mohammadreza Moeinfar A2

191 Amir Mojtabavi A3

192 Salar Rassoolzadeh A1

193 Hamidreza Shahrokhi I2

These grading are life-long but may be improved with sustained high performance.

Kamyar achieves his Master (Class 2) title through "fast-track". If he should maintain this playing level he will achieve an Master (Class 1) title after playing a second BMAB tournament or after obtaining 100 experience points.
